Pompey have been linked with a move for Newcastle winger Nolberto Solano, who is also interesting West Ham.
Pompey boss Harry Redknapp is pleased with his side's undefeated start to the Premier League campaign but still wants to make a couple of new signings before the transfer window slams shut at the end of the month.

However the Hammers remain in the driving seat. Solano added: "Everything depends on West Ham actually making an offer. It is up to West Ham and Newcastle to decide. There are teams in Spain interested in me but I won't go. The only reason I will leave Newcastle is to go to London."
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is heading for Cardiff after his move to Leicester fell through while struggling Southampton will pay £1.2m for Burnley defender Wayne Thomas.
