Quinn plays it cool over Keane deal

Niall Quinn denies that Sunderland manager Roy Keane is stalling on a new deal.

The former Manchester United midfielder is out of contract next August, but Quinn has put talks on hold to concentrate on club issues.

The chairman said: "I told Roy I had more important things on right now like the structure of the club. I had tough decisions to make for the club, they've slotted into place and now talks are going the right way.

"I think Roy has no issue with the playing side here. He's had the support he wants and that continues."
