Rafa facing his key test as he approaches Marseille 'cup final'

Rafael Benitez admits that Liverpool's Champions League clash in Marseille tomorrow is like a cup final for him.

The manager is under pressure after Saturday's 3-1 defeat by Reading damaged their title campaign and recent clashes with club owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett Jr over transfer funds.

Liverpool could go out of Europe's biggest club competition in France and Benitez has gambled everything on getting through.

He said: "Tuesday is like a cup final, not like Reading where you can resign yourself to losing three points."
