England keeper Paul Robinson heads into the international break with a vote of confidence from his new Tottenham manager.
Robinson has been under pressure ever since Juande Ramos took charge two weeks ago with reports that Sevilla's Andres Palop was headed to White Hart Lane.
Playing for keeps: Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson
But Ramos said after the 4-0 win over Wigan: "I'm quite happy with him. In four matches he's been able to keep three clean sheets.
"One of the important things is he is one of the captains of the team and has been very good on and off the pitch, creating and building morale.
"I hope everything goes well when he plays against Croatia, as well as when he plays for our team.
"Paul is one of the best goalkeepers in England - he is the No 1 for England. If he keeps playing the way he is at the moment, of course I'm going to count on him and I'm going to keep him in mind."
Ramos had every right to be in buoyant mood after seeing his side secure their first league win for three months.
Two-goal hereo Jermaine Jenas may have been inspired by becoming a father, but striker Dimitar Berbatov was the daddy against a distinctly average Wigan side.
The Bulgarian set up two of the four goals and saw a fine shot tipped onto the post by Chris Kirkland in the second half.
Ramos said: "He played exceptionally, the same as the team. Even though he did not score a goal he played very well. "He has said that he wants to stay. He is a player who, when his team is winning, is going to be happy.
