Ramos ready to splash out £9m on PSV's Gomes, the Brazilian octopus

Juande Ramos has turned to PSV Eindhoven's £9m-rated Heurelho Gomes to solve his goalkeeping crisis.
Tottenham boss Ramos has made 6ft 4in Brazilian Gomes, 27, his No.1 target after getting failing to land Espanyol's Carlos Kameni.
Gomes - nicknamed the Octopus because of his huge arms - dumped Spurs out of the UEFA Cup last season when he was the hero of PSV's penalty shootout win.
In demand: Heurelho Gomes denies Carlos Tevez to show the sort of form Tottenham want to pay big money for
But reports in the Mirror suggest Gomes wants to leave PSV and fancies a move to Spurs, especially as he is unhappy about the appointment of PSV's new goalkeeping coach Hans Segers, who was at Tottenham.
Ramos is desperate for a new keeper as Paul Robinson is on his way out this summer with Middlesbrough and Aston Villa looking at him.
Spurs fancied a swap deal with Manchester City's Joe Hart but that has gone cold as they do not want to let the England prospect go despite him being unhappy at earning just £3,000-a-week.
But after giving up on Hart and Kameni, Gomes is at the very top of their list and Spurs are ready to spend big again after buying Luka Modric for £16.8m, Giovani Dos Santos in an £8m deal and Crystal Palace whizzkid John Bostock.
They are also looking at Lazio's Swiss midfielder Valon Behrami and want a new striker with Real Zaragoza pair Sergio Garcia and Diego Milito on their hit-list as they prepare for Dimitar Berbatov's imminent departure.
