Ramos waits for Berbatov news

Juande Ramos today admitted Dimitar Berbatov's future could be resolved in the next 48 hours.

Manchester United want to sign the Bulgarian in a £28million deal but Tottenham won't let him go until they have another striker in place.

Although their bid for Andrei Arshavin has collapsed, head coach Ramos insists they are in the hunt for other front men.

He said: "Berbatov played for the national team and we are expecting him back tomorrow, but, come Saturday, we might know more about his situation."

But Ramos has backed Berbatov to silence the boo-boys against Sunderland on Saturday should he have to wait another few days for his dream move to go through.

He said: "If he knocks in one or two goals, the many fans that booed him last week will get behind him."

Jamie O'Hara (neck) and Tom Huddlestone (ankle) are doubts, while Ledley King will be assessed tomorrow.
