Real in danger after Roma comeback

Real Madrid face a difficult task to make the last eight after a 2-1 defeat at Roma.
The Spanish league leaders went ahead after eight minutes when Raul directed a Guti shot past Alexandre Doni from 20 yards.
Winner: Mancini celebrates scoring Roma's second goal against Real Madrid
Roma, Inter Milan's nearest challengers in Serie A, were determined to bounce back and found themselves level on 24 minutes when David Pizarro reacted quickest to the loose ball in the box.
The visitors upped the tempo in search of the lead, but it was the home side who grabbed the win when Alessandro Mancini scored. Mancini latched on to a Francesco Totti through ball, rounded Iker Casillas and slotted home just short of the hour. Van Nistlerooy hit a post late on, but it was the closest they came to an equaliser.
Schalke will take a slender advantage to Porto for the second leg after Kevin Kuranyi's early strike divided the teams. The German international pounced on the rebound after Marcio Rafinha's shot was kept out by Da Helton.
The home side could have extended their league but for some woeful shooting and may rue their missed chances in the return leg.
The visitors looked better after the break but rarely tested Manuel Neuer and will need to find attacking inspiration if they are to emulate the class of 2004.
