Reds reserves still a threat, warns Niemi

Fulham keeper Antti Niemi is expecting no favours from Liverpool even if the Champions League finalists put out a reserve team.

Rafael Benitez rested seven first-choice players at Portsmouth last week to keep them fresh for their European semi-final with Chelsea.

And with Liverpool now focusing on the final against AC Milan on 23 May, the manager is set to rotate his side again for their last two Premiership games against relegation-threatened Fulham and Charlton.

But Niemi said: "They could probably field two teams who would do well in the Premiership.

"They can leave somebody out and bring in another quality player, so I don't think it makes a big difference.

"Whatever team they field, it will be tough."
