A scroll back through the results archive reveals a not-so-famous 2-1 "win" over Arsenal at Highbury in the Premier League on 8 November 2003.
Those present at the game, however, recall Robert Pires and Freddie Ljungberg sealing a 2-1 defeat.
Meanwhile Gilberto accepted Arsenal 'escaped' what could have been a first defeat to arch-rivals Tottenham since 1999, but maintains the Gunners are still very much alive in their Carling Cup semi-final.
The first leg of last night's encounter ended 1-1 at Emirates Stadium, with Theo Walcott bagging a late equaliser after Spurs had taken a deserved lead through Jermaine Jenas.
But for some more composed finishing - notably by Steed Malbranque and then in the dying moments substitute Jermain Defoe - the visitors could have wrapped up the tie on the night.
However, the remarkable unbeaten record of Arsene Wenger's men against their closest rivals was extended to 21 matches in north London.
The two sides will meet again at White Hart Lane on January 22, in what will be a fourth encounter of the season.
Gilberto, at 31 easily the oldest member of the squad last night, believes the Gunners can take great confidence from leaving the tie all-square, if now needing to score an away goal themselves to stay on course for Wembley.
"It was not the result we wanted, but to get a draw was important and okay in the circumstances, being 1-0 down against a good side. Now we have a good chance in the second leg to decide our future," said the veteran Brazilian.
