Robinson bullish over recovery prospects

Jason Robinson and Tom Rees both missed training today as England conducted a light work-out in La Baule.

Robinson is continuing to undergo rehabilitation on the hamstring he injured during England's record 36-0 World Cup defeat against South Africa 10 days ago.

Robinson: Sights set on Tonga showdown

He was ruled out of the 44-22 victory over Samoa in Nantes on Saturday, but has set his sights on being available for England's World Cup eliminator against Tonga later this week.

Wasps flanker Rees, meanwhile, is also working with the England physiotherapists after reporting discomfort in his thigh over the weekend.

Rees lost his place to club colleague Joe Worsley for the Samoa game.

England head coach Brian Ashton is tomorrow likely to name his side to face Tonga.
