Robson urges Ronaldo to forget Real and stay put as a winner with United

Bryan Robson has told Cristiano Ronaldo to forget the promise of riches with Real Madrid and remain at Old Trafford.
The former Manchester United and England captain recalled his own experience
when he had the chance to move abroad.
He rejected approaches from Italian clubs - and feels Ronaldo should follow
suit, claiming United have more potential than their Spanish rivals.
Cristiano Ronaldo is training with Portugal ahead of their bid to win the European Championships
"Juventus and Sampdoria offered me a lot more money but I was happy at United," he told the Manchester Evening News.
"Once they told me they wanted me to stay, that was all I needed to hear.
"If he weighs everything up, then why move if he is happy where is is? Money is not everything."
Ronaldo, 23, finished the season with a remarkable 42 goals, the last one coming in the final in Moscow where Chelsea were defeated after a penalty shoot-out.
Since then the Portugal winger has sent out mixed messages about his future with speculation linking him to Real Madrid refusing to go away.
Only yesterday Ronaldo was quoted as saying he wanted to play for the Spanish side but only if a deal could be struck with United and him.
Robson is slightly baffled by the news as he does not believe Real are a bigger club than United.
Under the stewardship of manager Sir Alex Ferguson, Ronaldo won the Player of the Year award from the Professional Footballers' Association and the Football Writers' Association.
Currently on duty for Portugal at Euro 2008, Ronaldo is now in line to be crowned FIFA's World Player of the Year after finishing third last season.
Robson said: "I cannot see much of a temptation to go to Real. He is playing fantastic football and is admired by all the fans, players and coaching staff.
"He is on a massive contract, so I do not see any reason to move to Real. How did they do in the Champions League last year?
"He has everything he wants at United. They are a young team and could go on
to be successful for years. So I do not see why he should leave."
