A constant drizzle led to the suspension of yesterday afternoon's matches and rain was forecast for all of today.

Murray was due to be third on court to face world No 58 Juan Monaco but there were fears the second-round clash could be postponed. The outlook is also bleak for tomorrow and Thursday, with more rain expected.

The British No1 knows he faces a tricky test when he does get on court to face the Argentine.

"Monaco had an injury last year but before that he was ranked in the top 20," said Murray.

"He does well on clay and looks comfortable on this surface. He reached the fourth round of the 2007 French and US Opens."
