The Manchester United winger is currently recuperating after treatment on a problem that plagued him last season and was not expected to play first team football for at least two months.

But United manager Sir Alex Ferguson revealed today that Ronaldo has astounded specialists with the speed of his recovery so far.
Ferguson said: 'Cristiano is ahead of schedule. Even the specialist was surprised.
'He will continue what he is doing for the next three weeks and then will begin his first running.
'After that he will begin to work on the football side and the fitness side even more.
'We are very pleased.'
Ferguson's champions entertain Newcastle United in the first game of the season at Old Trafford on Sunday and the United manager confirmed that Wayne Rooney will play after recovering from a virus.
Ferguson said: 'Wayne is fit and he will be in the team on Sunday.
'He has done very well this week and has amazing powers of recovery.
'We do have some problems in attacking areas but our defence will be our backbone as usual.'
