The prolific striker has been linked with a move to Real Madrid this week but Gill has insisted the 41-goal winger will remain at Old Trafford under Sir Alex Ferguson. He told Sky Sports News: "Unequivocally yes, Cristiano will be with us nextseason. He's got a long-term contract, why would he leave one of the best clubs in Europe?
On the ball: Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo during a training session at the Luzhniki Stadium.
"We see no reason for him to leave and I'm sure he does not either. He doesn't need to reassure us at all.
"Sir Alex would be the person to speak to him but I don't think that's necessary.
"I just see Cristiano's attitude around the players and the team room now, when I speak to him about his successes this season, I think there is absolutely no necessity whatsoever to speak to him.
"It's not something that gives us sleepless nights at all. Asked whether there is a chance Ferguson could finally retire should United win in Moscow tonight, Gill said: "That might be a debate in the media but it's certainly not a debate at the club. I'm sure he'll want to continue, there's no talk of any retirement.
"Why would he? He's got a great young team here, we invested heavily last summer, we'll see what we need to do this summer to take it forward."
