Rosicky is £10m target for Inter

Inter Milan are considering a £10million bid for Tomas Rosicky in January.

The Italian champions are long-term admirers of the Arsenal midfielder and believe they can test Arsene Wenger's resolve to hang on to a player who has suffered continual injury problems during his 18 months at Emirates Stadium.

Inter target: the Milan club enquired about Rosicky during the summer

Inter enquired about Rosicky's availability during the summer when they were touting Brazilian striker Adriano to various Premier League clubs.

The Serie A leaders wanted Adriano to go out on loan to Arsenal and exchange him for Rosicky, who they have targeted as an eventual replacement for Luis Figo.

That offer was rejected but the Italians hope Wenger could be persuaded by another bid for a player who has been hampered by hamstring, groin, thigh and ankle injuries during his spell in London.

Arsenal paid Borussia Dortmund £6.8m for Rosicky in May 2006 and would expect to make a profit on the 27-year-old.

The Gunners are planning a move for Dinamo Zagreb's Luka Modric in January.

Rosicky might be reluctant to transfer. He is understood to be happy in the capital and is expected to play against Reading tonight.
