Roy Hodgson is happy to make point

Roy Hodgson believes Fulham are finally ready to shrug off their reputation as the worst travellers in Premier League history, writes Ian Whittell.

Hodgson was understandably delighted with a draw at Anfield, doubling their away points tally for the season to two.

Only Stoke have as poor a points return as Fulham and only West Brom can match the Londoners' paltry return of two goals on their League travels.

But Hodgson believes he may have witnessed a turning point at Anfield as his side coped relatively comfortably against a Liverpool team pressing for their first title in 19 years.

Hodgson said: "I think today will be a nice boost for us. It would have been a bad thing for us to play as well as we did and concede another yet another late goal.

"At the moment everything we have got away from home has been earned.

"But I am still boosted by the fact that late last season when we hadn't won an away game for almost two years, all of a sudden we won three of the last four and stayed in the division."
