Owen Farrell signs new three-year contract with Saracens

Owen Farrell, one of the brightest talents in English rugby, has signed a new three year contract extension with Premiership champions Saracens that will keep him at the club until after the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
Farrell, 20-years-old, made his England debut against Scotland in the RBS Six Nations this seasons and will his third cap and made a first appearance for his country at Twickenham against Wales on Saturday.
He has quickly assumed the role of England's first choice kicker in a back division that includes fellow Sarries Charlie Hodgson, Brad Barritt and Dave Strettle and the club is set to announce that a total of 18 players have signed new contracts over the next three days.
Sarries have moved swiftly to ensure that Farrell remains at the club as his profile increases and he is benefitting hugely from the presence and advice of father Andy, the Sarries head coach, who is also the England backs coach.
The other news deals will include Maurtiz Botha, the England lock who will face Wales and No8 Ernst Joubert, who like Botha is South African born, and will qualify to play for England this summer staying for at least another two years.
Scrum half Ben Spencer has been given a first full time contract having joined Sarries on a training contract from Cambridge in the summer. Spencer is the current Saxons scrum half having impressed for the club when injury removed England No9 Richard Wigglesworth and former Springbok scrum half Neil de Kock from the squad this season.
Mark McCall, Director of Rugby, said: "Owen obviously has a wonderfully exciting future in the game, at club and international level, and we are delighted he has pledged his future to Saracens.Mouritz's progress over the past few years has been fantastic, and we genuinely believe the best is yet to come."
