Samuels probed over bookie link

West Indies batsman Marlon Samuels will be investigated by his national cricket board over alleged links with a bookmaker.

Indian police claim they taped phone conversations between the Jamaican, 26, and the bookie in which confidential team news was allegedly leaked ahead of the first one-dayer in Nagpur on January 21.

England all-rounder Ravi Bopara, who is on the forthcoming Test tour of Sri Lanka, suffered a minor injury to his right arm when he overturned a 4x4 vehicle yesterday.

He said: "I'm fine. I usually get worse cuts and bruises diving around the outfield."
