Saracens boss Jones aware that Sale will provide toughest of tests

Saracens boss Eddie Jones is fully aware of the threat posed by Guinness Premiership opponents Sale Sharks admitting: 'They can hurt you from all areas.'

Jones' team head to Stockport on Friday night following a narrow opening weekend loss against Harlequins at Twickenham.

And Saracens have received a boost through the return of full-back Richard Haughton, who sat out the Quins game while he recovered from a hip injury.

Haughton is among five changes, with prop Matias Aguero and hooker Fabio Ongaro
also called up, while there are starts for wing Rodd Penney and flanker Andy Saull.

Penney and Saull are respective replacements for wing Franciso Leonelli (rib injury) and flanker Dave Seymour (knee ligaments).

Jones said: 'We've made a few changes and this is a good opportunity for the guys coming into the side.

'Injuries have forced us into bringing in a couple of new faces and we have also decided to give Fabio Ongaro and Matias Aguero a run-out.

'Both impressed in pre-season matches - especially against Toulon - and they showed up well when they went on against Quins last week, so they deserve a chance.

'It is also good to have Richard Haughton back in the side.

'He had a very good season last year and proved himself to be one of the top performers in the competition, and we are looking for him to continue that this season.

'Sale are a very good side that can hurt you from all areas of the pitch.

'We learnt a lot about ourselves last Saturday, but we are moving forward as a team and I expect to see more improvements against Sale."

England prop Andrew Sheridan returns for Sale after missing last weekend's 14-9
victory over Newcastle, replacing Lionel Faure in the front row alongside Sebastien Bruno and Eifion Roberts.

Elsewhere, Scotland back Rory Lamont takes over from Mark Cueto on the wing, and squad rotation sees scrum-half Richard Wigglesworth starting instead of Dwayne Peel.

Sale's win at Kingston Park was their first of the professional era on Tyneside, and rugby director Philippe Saint-Andre is keen to keep generating early momentum.

Tomorrow's game is also Sharks' first Premiership encounter on home soil since
they blew their title play-off hopes with defeat against London Irish four months ago.

Saint-Andre said: 'We started well with a victory at Newcastle, but tomorrow evening's game against Saracens will be very tough.

'We want to return to winning ways at Edgeley Park after the London Irish defeat in May.

'We have a very talented squad here at the club, and yet again I have had to leave players out of the match-day 22.

'All my players know they need to be at the top of their game to keep their place in the team.'
