Scott demands more from Bees

Brentford boss Andy Scott says his side are still making mistakes despite them extending their unbeaten run to nine League matches with a 1-1 draw at Notts County last night.

The club climbed to third in League Two after gaining a point at Meadow Lane, although they were denied a win when Jamie Forrester's controversial 65th-minute penalty cancelled out Glenn Poole's first-half strike.

Despite the Bees excellent start to the campaign, Scott insists there is room for improvement.

He said: "We are highlighting the mistakes we are making but we are not getting beaten, which is a good thing. When we do get it right, we are a good side. At the moment, when we are not doing it right, we are still getting points."

Scott was unhappy with referee Michael Oliver's decision that led to County's equaliser.

Poole's excellent left-foot shot in the 36th minute had put Brentford ahead, but the same player was then penalised for handling a cross from Adam Tann and Forrester beat Ben Hamer with his spot-kick.

Scott added: "The referee and his assessor said it was a just decision because Glenn's arm was not by his side but they must have been the only people in the ground who saw it that way."
