Scott: Long trip won't see us fall

Managers often say the path to the FA Cup Final is a long one, but Brentford boss Andy Scott knows his team's route to the third round will be arduous enough.

The Bees make the 600-mile round trip to non-League Barrow tonight and Scott is confident the journey won't deflect his men from the task at hand.

He said: "We're not getting on a plane and flying 3,000 miles, we're only travelling on a coach for four or five hours. It happens. We've prepared properly and there's no excuses just for the fact it's a long trip."

"It's a good opportunity for us to get together after two really good results and bond even further.

"We want to enjoy the journey back and ensure that it's a really good experience. If the team approach it the right way I'm sure we'll get a result."
