Atletico appealed against the decision, claiming the 19-year-old Argentina international was aiming at the floor — not an opponent — after a challenge by Matt Taylor.

Bolton, meanwhile, are angry at Atletico's decision to post the English club's itinerary and hotel details on the club website.
Manager Gary Megson said: 'I don't know what anybody is trying to achieve by doing that. It's an absolute nonsense.
'We've never even contemplated putting any one else's itinerary on our website. The goings-on since the result last week have been strange.
'The criticism of the referee was nonsense as well. It was called British officiating and that was the reason we beat Atletico — and yet the referee was from Denmark.
'There's been a lot going on but we just want to come back with a good result. I don't think a one-goal lead is going to be enough to hang on to for a whole 90 minutes.'
ATLETICO MADRID (4-4-2): Abbiati; Pernia, Perea, Pablo, A Lopez; Maxi, Cleber Santana, Reyes, Jurado; Mista, Forlan.
BOLTON (4-4-2): Jaaskelainen; A O'Brien, Hunt, Cahill, Samuel; Taylor, Nolan, Campo, Guthrie; Diouf, Davies.
Referee: Jacek Granat (Pol).
