Friends reunited? Fredi Kanoute has scotched rumours that he is to return to Spurs
Kanoute left White Hart Lane to join Ramos at Sevilla in 2005 and flourished under the Spaniard.
The 30-year-old has had a dip in form following Ramos's departure to Spurs last year but insists he is not about to return to London.
"The papers talk about me leaving, but neither Juande nor the club have spoken to me about it," he said. "There are not many clubs better than Sevilla."
Reports linking Kanoute with Ramos came after more doubts emerged about Dimitar Berbatov's future at White Hart Lane, with his agent saying his client deserves to be playing Champions League football.
The Bulgarian scored Spurs' goal in their 1-1 draw at Wigan and Ramos masked any frustration he may be feeling over his striker.
"It's not an issue that worries or concerns me," he said. "I'm here to maintain the form and preparation of the team, and agents are on the margins of what I'm here to do."
Meanwhile, 35-year-old midfielder Edgar Davids, who left Spurs for Ajax last year, is "98 per cent likely" to retire next month.
