Shaun Wright-Phillips set to revive his career at Portsmouth

Shaun Wright-Phillips will become 's latest England capture when he returns from Chelsea's pre-season trip to the Far East and Russia, with Harry Redknapp hoping to sign him for around £11million.
Little more than a week since breaking the club record transfer with the £11m signing of Peter Crouch to play alongside Jermain Defoe, Redknapp will spend again with the support of chairman Sacha Gaydamak.
Portsmouth were last night concluding the sale of midfielder Sulley Muntari to Inter Milan for £12.7m and will immediately use the cash to land Wright-Phillips, a long-term transfer target for Redknapp.
Shaun Wright-Phillips will sign for Portsmouth on his return from Chelsea's tour of the Far East
The Portsmouth manager, a master at salvaging careers and reigniting players, will hope to use his magic on the former Manchester City winger who has lost his way at Chelsea.
He will join Crouch, Defoe, David James, Glen Johnson and Sol Campbell in the Pompey team for the new season.
'England manager Fabio Capello will have to get a season ticket for Fratton Park,' said a deal insider last night.
Ghana midfielder Muntari has agreed a four-year deal with Inter, a transfer which further diminishes the prospect of Frank Lampard leaving Chelsea for the San Siro this summer.
Lampard staying at Chelsea would certainly be the most agreeable scenario for Capello, who said: 'As England coach I would prefer it if Lampard remained in England. He would have less travelling to do that way.'
Pompey will use the Muntari cash, which represents a healthy £5.5m profit on a player bought from Udinese little more than a year ago, to continue strengthening their squad.
Leaving Pompey: Sulley Muntari
They were also keen on Younes Kaboul but the Tottenham centre half agreed to join Sunderland last night.
The FA Cup winners will play in the UEFA Cup this season and Redknapp is keen to continue his rebuilding. They play Manchester United in Nigeria on Sunday.
Wright-Phillips, 26, produced some of the best form of his Chelsea career under Avram Grant last season but lost his place once everyone was fit and did not even make the bench for the Champions League Final in May.
He scored in a 4-0 win in a pre-season friendly against Guangzhou Pharmaceutical on Wednesday, but the winger has accepted he must leave Stamford Bridge to play regular first-team football again.
'Shaun is thrilled at this chance,' said a friend last night. 'He wants to work with Harry and get himself back to his best form, flying down the wing again.'
Redknapp, a right winger in his days as a West Ham player, is delighted at the support he has received from his board in the transfer market this summer, and he still wants a left back, a centre half and perhaps one more midfielder.
