Sportsmail exclusive: Tottenham rubbish Jose White Hart Lane link
21 September 2007
Tottenham Hotspur have this morning rubbished rumours they have launched a bid to install Jose Mourinho as manager at White Hart Lane.
Reports suggested that Spurs have put together an 'attractive package' to lure the former Chelsea boss across London.

Best of mates: And Tottenham have ruled out Jose Mourinho taking over from Martin Jol
But a Spurs spokesman told Sportsmail: "We have a manager. We expect the speculation but the chairman [Daniel Levy] has expressed his support for Martin Jol. Everyone is looking for results to turn around and we are all sure they will."
Jol has spoke of his sadness at Mourinho's exit from Stamford Bridge, describing him as the 'jewel in the crown' while his own cause was done a power of good last night with a 6-1 UEFA Cup win.
For their part, Chelsea have blocked any attempt by Premier League rivals to make Mourinho their manager by forcing him to sign an exile agreement until next season.
Mourinho agreed to the deal last night as apart of the pay-off for him and his coaching staff, which is worth at least £16million, and that has scuppered an immediate approach from English clubs.
And with Atletico Madrid heading a queue of European clubs interested in Mourinho, it is likely that he will be snapped up before his Premier League exile is over.
