Spurs, Blackburn and Pompey in the race to sign Newcastle flop Duff

On his way: Damien Duff

Damien Duff will leave Newcastle this summer, with Blackburn, Spurs and Portsmouth all interested in signing the 29-year-old left winger.

Duff has flopped since moving to St James' Park from Chelsea two years ago for £5million. His time in the north east has been blighted by injury and poor form and he has told friends that he will move this summer.

Duff has already put his house up for sale and ideally wants to move back to the capital. Portsmouth, however, are also interested in Liverpool's out of contract winger Harry Kewell.

Newcastle failed in a move for Luka Modric, who they saw as a natural replacement for Duff and have turned their sights to Galatasaray's Arda Turan and Stuttgart's Mario Gomez.
