Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea are all monitoring events in Spain and are believed to be considering moves for the Spanish international.
United and Chelsea are known to be on the lookout for a top-class striker with Bolton's French striker Nicolas Anelka having been mentioned in regard to both clubs.
Chelsea are set to be without Didier Drogba possibly until February due to his recovery from a knee operation followed by the African Nations Cup while United are keen to bolster their strikeforce with continuing question marks over the fitness of Louis Saha.
Quoted on the website Footballing World, Villa's agent Jose Luis Tamargo said: "Many clubs have contacted me to ask about the chances of a player who is guaranteed to score goals in England. But I am convinced if Spurs present an offer Valencia will study the subject."
While Villa, who is likely to fetch around £25million, is undoubted class Tottenham boss Juande Ramos is likely to be more concerned with shoring up his porous defence and centre of midfield.
