Spurs must be patient in the hunt for Germany striker Podolski

Tottenham will have to wait until tomorrow night at the earliest if they want to make a move for Germany striker Lukas Podolski for next season.
Podolski, 23, is a proven goalscorer for Bayern Munich and has netted three goals at Euro 2008.
But the prolific forward has warned Spurs boss Juande Ramos he will not consider his future until the tournament ends - possibly tomorrow night after their semi-final against Turkey in Basle.

Podolski said: 'Nothing else which is said is of any interest to me. I didn't set myself any targets here. I didn't think I would have clocked up three goals, but I am at the top of my game here and bursting with energy.
'My focus is purely on Euro 2008 and trying to win it.'
Podolski has not even held talks with new Bayern boss Jurgen Klinsmann over his longterm future and is adamant that no decision has been made on whether he is leaving.
Podolski said: 'I talked to Klinsmann but that was a long time before Euro 2008. Since then, I have had no contact with either him or Bayern Munich.'
