Spurs plan to extend their season

Juande Ramos is so determined his Tottenham players stay in shape this summer he is considering making them play extra matches at the end of this season.

The coach has already placed his players on a strict diet and training regime to prepare for next term's Premier League assault.

And Ramos, whose side take on Middlesbrough tomorrow, wants them in peak physical condition.

He said: "We have to take into account the season is ending early. We are looking into whether to put more games on the end of the season."
