Spurs thank fans with price freeze

Tottenham have moved to help ease the financial pressures on their supporters by confirming the price of season tickets at White Hart Lane will be frozen for up to two years.

The Barclays Premier League club have announced fans who take advantage of the offer for the 2009/2010 and 2010/2011 campaigns will also be able to benefit from the current reduction in VAT of 15 per cent - effectively renewing at a cost lower than they paid for the current season.

A statement on the club's official website, www.tottenhamhotspur.com, read: "The club is acutely aware of the current economic climate and the uncertainty and concern this has created for many of our supporters.

"Today's announcement of a One Hotspur season-ticket membership price freeze for up to two years, combined with the current lower VAT rate and other added benefits, has been designed to thank and reward our supporters for their continued and exceptional loyalty to our club and to slightly ease the financial burden that many people are currently experiencing."
