PSV Eindhoven coach Sef Vergoossen talks to journalists during a training session in Eindhoven ahead of the UEFA Cup tie against Spurs
Vergoossen saw enough last week, when PSV established a 1-0 lead in the tie, to suggest the two teams would look the part among the elite.
"When we played at Tottenham in that atmosphere it had exactly the same feeling as the Champions League," he said.
"It was also the feeling looking at the players."
Vergoossen does not want to reach the quarter-finals of the UEFA Cup by defending their slender lead from London.
He added: "It would not be clever to start a game thinking that a draw is enough for us.
"I know for sure that a mentality like that would be a big problem for us. We have to play the same way, with the intention to score."
The PSV coach also feels his players will benefit from having the weekend off due to a police strike.
He wanted to play their match against Ajax, but added: "For sure, it is better that we had two days extra of rest."
