New recruit Giovani dos Santos is confident Tottenham will challenge for major honours next season.

The Mexico starlet arrived at White Hart Lane from Barcelona for £8.6million despite interest from Chelsea and Manchester City.

Dos Santos, 19, told The Sun: “I know it is a very big club and it can get bigger.

“It is lovely to see Spurs fans wearing the shirt in London.

“I came here because of the passion of the fans. For me it is a dream to come to Spurs. I’ve come to explore my qualities.”
