Manager Tony Pulis said : "Sidibe doesn't score many but he is a handful and works hard for the team.

"It was a very important three points. Now we need to get another winning run going again."

Norwich dominated but were denied repeatedly by on-loan Wigan goalkeeper Carlo Nash and Sidibe snatched victory by heading home midfielder Rory Delap's 58th-minute long throw.

Norwich manager Glenn Roeder admitted : "It was rough justice but no excuses. It was of our own making. We shot ourselves in the foot again."
