Stoner's set to get back on his bike

Casey Stoner will make his return to MotoGP at this weekend's Portuguese GP after missing the last three rounds with a mystery illness.

The 2007 world champion from Australia has been undergoing tests after complaining of exhaustion and the results showed he was suffering from low blood pressure levels and a lack of sodium.

Doctors believe this may have been due to overtraining and the after-effects of injuries and surgery.

Stoner's Ducati team said: "We hope over the last four races of the season he can gradually build his strength."
