Stricken Dominic Elsworth is still a long way from fitness

Dominic Elsworth says he will not return to the saddle anytime soon.

The jump jockey was knocked unconscious when falling from the Jonjo O'Neill-trained Keepitsecret at Ffos Las on 28 August.

Elsworth is still feeling the effects of concussion and admitted: "I am getting better slowly, but I doubt that I will be riding before the New Year.

"I still can't exert myself - I can't even go jogging. Though my balance is getting better, I can't think about riding a horse. It's going to take a while.

"I have to go to London for a neurological assessment, but I don't know when that will be."
