Striker Ashton back in action as West Ham thrash Saints

West Ham hope to have Dean Ashton back in their attack when they face Tottenham at Upton Park on Sunday.

The striker continued his return from injury by playing and scoring in a behind closed doors friendly against Southampton, which the Hammers won 5-0.

Midfielders Scott Parker and Nigel Quashie, who have also been sidelined, could be in contention as well after proving their fitness in the match.

Boss Alan Curbishley said: "I am really pleased. It looks like the two of them are coming back."
