Sunderland boss Keane to see off Hull and grab Middlesbrough's Boateng

Sunderland manager Roy Keane is trying to hijack George Boateng's move to Hull City.
Boateng has been told he can quit Middlesbrough with a year left on his contract and he is expected to be allowed to leave for around £2million.
Hull boss Phil Brown was the first to make a move for the ex-Holland international but Keane is also looking for experienced players to bolster his squad after securing a new one-year deal for Dwight Yorke.

Near neighbours: Boateng could make the short trip from Boro to Wearside
Middlesbrough manager Gareth Southgate has confirmed the 32-year-old Boateng will be allowed to quit the Riverside after six years.
After highly-publicised rows with his manager last season, Boateng was relieved of the captain's armband.
Southgate said: 'George has expressed a desire to move on, he's having talks with a couple of other clubs and that's the decision he's got to make now.'
Meanwhile, former Barcelona midfielder Arnau looks set to join Championship side Blackpool.
The 26-year-old, who was Niall Quinn's first signing in his brief spell as manager, spent last season on loan at Falkirk.
He is training with Simon Grayson's squad this week and looks likely to play in a friendly against Fleetwood at the weekend.
Two years ago, Arnau was sent off in a League Cup defeat at Bury, his only Sunderland appearance, which was also Quinn's final game in charge.
The Spaniard, who played for Barcelona B, has failed to secure a place in the first-team squad under Keane and has a year left on his contract.
