Sunderland threaten to pull out of move for Reading midfielder Hunt

Sunderland are threatening for pull out of their move for Reading winger Stephen Hunt for the second time.

Royals boss Steve Coppell is still wanting £6 million for the Republic of Ireland midfielder, but Sunderland manager Roy Keane is refusing to be held to ransom, despite waiting for his first summer signing.

Keane made his first approach for Hunt in January, but was put off by the £5 million valuation. He has offered £4 million during the summer, but Coppell is holding out for more as he struggles to keep his relegated side together.

Sunderland still have offers on the table for Darren Bent, Andy Johnson and Doran Goian and Keane is hoping to persuade Sir Alex Ferguson to release Jonny Evans in a £4 million deal.
