Sven waits as Vassell considers Derby move

Manchester City manager Sven Goran Eriksson is still waiting to hear whether out-of-favour striker Darius Vassell has decided to join Derby County.
Discussions have taken place with Vassell, but Eriksson is yet to discover whether the Birmingham-born player will be leaving.
Out of contention: Eriksson will allow Vassell to leave
The former England man, 27, has not even been a substitute for City this season.
"It is a fact that Derby are interested in Darius but I have not heard any results," said Eriksson.
"I should find out more soon."
Derby are also interested in Vassell's team-mate Paul Dickov and Portsmouth's summer signing David Nugent.
Eriksson opted not to watch England tackle Germany at Wembley last night and instead headed to Montpellier to watch Brazil in action against Algeria.
The 59-year-old Swede did not reveal if he was monitoring potential transfer targets, although he is "99.9 per cent certain" more new faces will be added to the City squad before the transfer window closes on August 31.
"I am sure something will happen," said Eriksson, who has most recently been linked with a £7million move for Celta Vigo's highly-rated midfielder Borja Oubina.
"We are talking every day and looking for some solutions."
