Sven’s £15m swoop for Chiellini and Castillo

Sven Goran Eriksson hopes to have Juventus's Italy Under 21 captain Giorgio Chiellini and Olympiakos striker Nery Castillo on board in time for Manchester City's friendly visit of Valencia next Saturday.

Manager Eriksson, whose players meet Charleroi in Belgium this evening, is working on the £7million capture of defender Chiellini and the £8m signing of Mexico's Castillo.

Both deals are said to be 'moving forward' and there were claims in Spain last night that Racing Santander had agreed to sell Serbia striker Nicola Zigic.
