Swansea coach Jones released by police after tunnel clash with Bristol Rovers player

Swansea assistant manager Graeme Jones has been released by police after being questioned about an incident in the tunnel after last night's League One 2-0 victory at Bristol Rovers.

An alleged scuffle involving Jones and Rovers' centre-back Danny Coles led to statements being taken from both clubs.

Police later confirmed one man had been arrested but refused to give his identity.

Coles had earlier been involved in the incident that saw Swansea substitute Febian Brandy sent off for raising his arms at an opponent.

"The club can confirm that an incident occurred in the tunnel after the game at the Memorial Stadium involving players and staff from both sides," said a Swansea statement.

"Assistant manager Graeme Jones was involved but after questioned by the Avon and Somerset Police was released last night pending further investigations.

"Graeme and the club have co-operated fully with the police over the matter and a further statement will be issued in due course."
