Teacher flies in to help Grant stay Chelsea boss

Avram Grant's hopes of remaining in charge of Chelsea received a boost yesterday when Israel's head of coaching, Amnon Raz, agreed to make weekly visits to London to help him earn his pro-licence.

Grant's position appeared to be under threat when it emerged he lacked the necessary coaching credentials for managing in the Premier League.

Learning curve: Avram Grant will complete his coaching qualifications in London

But the Israel Federation are eager for their former national boss to carry on in a high-profile post and have arranged for coaching chief Raz to provide personal tuition. Raz will fly over every Sunday from January to try to ensure Grant completes the course by next summer.
