That wasn’t pretty, admit lucky Southampton - but Hoddle may return
26 January 2008
Despite reports of Hoddle saying he is too busy setting up his academy in Spain, Gorman believes the man who walked out on Saints for Tottenham would be in a position to come back, given a little time.

Southampton's Grzegorz Rasiak takes a penalty which is saved first of all then hits the rebound
Gorman said: 'Who says he's not coming back? Glenn has turned down a lot of jobs but he loved it here and would definitely come back if he felt it was right.
"He has put a lot of effort into setting up his academy, which he is very passionate about. But if Southampton were prepared to wait he might want to come back into club management and there is a decent squad here.2
Saints were awful in the first half and could have been two down if Richie Baker had been more clinical in the opening seven minutes.
Even after Andrew Surman's opener took a fortunate deflection — 'It might have hit the corner flag,' he said — Bury's star front man Andy Bishop rocked the bar with a header before Grzegorz Rasiak needed two rebounds after a penalty save by Jim Provett to finish off the League Two side.
Bury caretaker boss Chris Brass said: "It was a gallant performance and it could so easily have been our day.
"Andy Bishop is a very big talent and it's a matter of how long the club can hold on to him. As for the job, yes I would like it full time."
On this showing, Bury could do much worse.
