Nick Barmby celebrates Hull reaching the Premier League

Full-time: Hull are in the Premier League. Windass leads the celebrations.

90 Windass can't bear to look.

90 Hughes whips free kick just over.

90 Four minutes of injury time. Hull awarded a free kick on the edge of the opposition penalty box.

88 Now Byfield is denied by a goal-saving clearance from Ricketts.

85 Turner comes up with a brilliant block to deny Trundle, eight yards out, after Myhill had made a mess of dealing with a cross.

82 Great shot of Windass, with his arm around Barmby, sat in the sunshine watching the game. The two players, both Hull fans, will be hoping they've done enough to claim promotion for their team.

79 Record attendance for Championship Play-Off Final: 86, 073.

78 Super turn and strike by Hull's Garcia, saved well by Basso.

76 Last throw of the dice by Bristol C: Byfield on for Carle and they're going to play three at the back.

70 The end of Windass. The board goes up and it's the number nine. The Hull fans are on their feet to show their appreciation. A class goal from a class act. He is replaced by Folan.

68 Sproule almost makes an immediate impact. He surges past Dawson and his cross is pawed away from danger by Myhill.

67 Hull substitution: Barmby replaced by Fagan.

63 Noble's efforts have clearly not impressed the boss and he's replaced by Sproule, an out-and-out winger.

62 It's all Bristol C. Noble twice has the chance to get in a cross but wastes the opportunity.

56 From resulting corner, Trundle's header floats just past the far post.

55 Penalty shout for Bristol C. McIndoe's shot hits the top of Brown's arm and deflected wide. Ref waives away appeals.

45 Orr has suffered a depressed fracture of the cheekbone.

45 Positive response by Bristol C but Noble hits a long-range effort high and wide.

45 There'll be six minutes of injury time.

42 Orr goes down still suffering the effects of earlier head injury. The influential defender has a nasty bruise around his eye. He's stretchered off and replaced by the manager's son, Lee Johnson.

38 GOAL: Windass, who else, with a super strike. Campbell skips past two defenders, gets to the byline and picks out Windass on the edge of the box and the veteran striker smashes a spectacular volley into the corner of the net.

Sad sight: Bradley Orr is stretchered off the pitch

31 Trundle just starting to get involved in the game. Tries a couple of runs but the Hull defence manages to snuff out the danger.

28 Windass, who has been involved in most of the best moves, climbs well but directs a header wide.

24 Windass, 39 but sporting a blonde look for the final, combines with Ricketts down the right and his cross is met by Garcia, and his header goes just over the bar.

22 Bristol C down to 10 men as Orr requires treatment.

20 Hull respond with their best passage of play. McAllister's last-ditch tackle on Campbell runs to Windass and his deep cross has to be headed away by Orr.

18 Carle fires shot past the post. The Australian international has never scored for the club but he nearly broke that record after collecting the ball outside the box, showing quick feet and firing shot just wide.

Bristol City's Dele Adebola takes on Hull Citys' Bryan Hughes

16 Basso called into action again to deal with a promising run and cross from Ricketts.

13 Scare in the Bristol C box. Keeper Basso forced to scramble after a defensive mix-up.

10 Both sides have settled down and look well matched.

04 Great chance for Bristol C. Adebola holds off defender to teach flick on but can't get a good contact on his shot and keeper Myhill makes comfortable save.

03 Fast and frenetic start in the sunshine. Both sides are looking to attack.

02 Garcia has first attempt on goal but his shot goes high and wide.

15.00 The match has kicked off.

Bristol City's Lee Trundle has his shot blocked by Hull City's Wayne Brown

Overnight illness forced Jamie McCombe out of Bristol City's squad for the
Coca-Cola Championship play-off final.

The centre-back was replaced by Liam Fontaine and the enforced switch was the
only change made by manager Gary Johnson from the semi-final victory over
Crystal Palace.

Hull boss Phil Brown named an unchanged side. Hull-born pair Nick Barmby and
Dean Windass, goalscorers in the semi-final against Watford, kept their places.

Windass, 39, made his first ever Wembley appearance while Craig Fagan, who
helped Derby to victory in this fixture last season, was on the bench.
