(INSIDER'S RATING: 0/5 means this deal's pie in the sky. 5/5 and it's a done deal)
Pizarro
Claudio Pizarro, to Real Betis - Insider says: 3/5
While there is little doubt the Peru striker will be leaving Stamford Bridge as Chelsea step up their pursuit of £30m-rated Robinho, the only question is where he will end up. Real Betis are the first to make a move with new owner Luiz Castel is desperate to make an impact, and the Spaniards are believed to have opened talks of a £1.5m deal. But Paris Saint-Germain are also interested and Werder Bremen may offer Pizarro a return to the Bundesliga. He left Bayern Munich on a free transfer last summer but started only four Premier League games and scored twice in a total of 21 appearances. Chelsea are unlikely to haggle over the fee as they pursue bigger targets and Luiz Felipe Scolari looks to reduce the size of his squad.
Bullard
Jimmy Bullard, to - Insider says: 2/5
Don’t rule out Bullard returning to the JJB Stadium, but Wigan’s sudden interest in a midfielder they sold to Fulham for £2.5m two years ago has much to do with their frustration over Middlesbrough stalling on Lee Cattermole’s move from Teesside. An improved bid of £3.5m should be enough to persuade Boro to part with the England Under-21 international. Even if Bullard doesn’t join Wigan, he could still leave Craven Cottage this summer with Fulham boss Roy Hodgson yet to be convinced about his overall value to the team.
Santa Cruz
Roque Santa Cruz, to - Insider says 1/5
Mark Hughes has again been heavily linked with the striker he took from Bayern Munich to Blackburn 12 months ago, with the City boss temporarily short on firepower following Jo’s departure to the Beijing Olympics with Brazil and Benjani’s thigh injury. But Rovers wouldn’t even entertain offers below £15m as new manager Paul Ince struggles to keep his best players at Ewood Park, and that is an awful lot of money to pay for a stop-gap. West Ham’s Craig Bellamy and Marseille’s former Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse offer cheaper, more sensible options.
Bell
David Bell, Luton to Norwich - Insider says: 5/5
There’s nothing like a 30-point deduction to have players looking elsewhere to play their football, and Bell will become the first Luton player to move on since the FA and Football League hit the club with a double whammy. The Republic of Ireland B midfielder moves to Carrow Road for £450,000, but Norwich could end up paying twice that based on bonuses and appearances.
Warnock
Stephen Warnock, to - Insider says: 3/5
What was initially a hopeful £2m punt by Kevin Keegan is looking increasingly like a serious attempt to sign Warnock after the Newcastle boss raised his bid to £3.5m. Blackburn would listen to offers of around £5m, and what works in their favour is the fact Keegan is desperate for full-backs as the new season looms and the former Liverpool defender is settled at Ewood Park.
