(INSIDER'S RATING: 0/5 means this deal's pie in the sky. 5/5 and it's a done deal)
Berbatov
Dimitar Berbatov, Tottenham to Man United - Insider says: 4/5
United are ready to raise the offer for their No1 transfer target to nearer the £30m Spurs are demanding, but are being careful to conduct the matter as respectfully as possible after accusing Real Madrid over their public pursuit of Cristiano Ronaldo. Quite simply, United want Berbatov, he wants to move to Old Trafford, and Spurs resigned themselves to selling the Bulgarian some time ago. The only issue now is price, probably somewhere around the £25m mark. Robbie Keane’s departure from White Hart Lane is less certain, however, with Liverpool relying on selling players to meet Tottenham’s £20m valuation.
Bellamy
Craig Bellamy, West Ham to Man City - Insider says: 1/5
Mark Hughes knows Bellamy well from his time as manager of Wales and Blackburn, but two injury-hit seasons at Ewood Park and West Ham either side of a disappointing spell at Liverpool are unlikely to convince the new City boss to re-sign the temperamental forward who has also had his fair share of off-the-field problems. It is no secret West Ham are desperate to slash their wage bill, and while City might be prepared to take on Lucas Neill’s £70,000-a-week wages, it is unlikely they will do the same for his Hammers team-mate.
Robinho
Robinho, Real Madrid to Chelsea - Insider says: 3/5
While there is no doubt Chelsea want the Brazilian, reports of a £48m bid from Stamford Bridge are wide of the mark. Robinho wants to leave the Bernabeu and Real are willing to let him go, but not unless they are certain of appeasing supporters by signing Cristiano Ronaldo. They have been playing hardball with the Robinho’s agent, claiming they have turned down an exaggerated offer from Chelsea . If Ronaldo moves to Spain, Robinho could well go to London but don’t expect the fee to be much more than £30m.
Kapo
Olivier Kapo, Birmingham to Wigan - Insider says: 5/5
Kapo’s move from St Andrews to the JJB Stadium is on the verge of completion after Birmingham accepted a £3.5m bid and he travelled north for a medical. Former Blues boss Steve Bruce has been linked with the French midfielder all summer, and the deal took a major step forward when Bruce’s successor, Alex McLeish, conceded Kapo was not part of his plans and put him on the transfer list. Don't be surprised if Bruce tries to sign Sebastian Larsson from Birmingham as well.
Castillo
Segundo Castillo, Red Star Belgrade to Blackburn - Insider says: 3/5
The Ecuadoran midfielder will join Rovers on the pre-season trip to Germany, but the deal is not as certain to go through as the player claims. Blackburn still need to be convinced he offers good value at £6m and although Castillo appears to have set his heart on a move the Premier League, Juventus may yet offer him another option.
Goian
Dorin Goian, Steaua Bucharest to Sunderland - Insider says: 4/5
The two clubs are £500,000 apart on a fee for the Romania centre-back but that is unlikely to prove a major stumbling block with Roy Keane desperate to add to his squad. With Champions League regulars Dinamo Kiev monitoring the transfer and prepared to offer the experienced defender European football, Keane may have no choice but to raise his offer to £4m.
