The King is back - and he has Gunners clash in his sights

Ledley King has been linked with a return to the heart of the Tottenham defence for next weekend's north London derby with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

Spurs skipper King has not played all season after undergoing knee surgery in the summer and his absence has contributed to a massive loss of form in defence.

But Tottenham manager Juande Ramos said of King: "He's getting better week by week. Last week he played 45 minutes for the reserves and I'm really happy with the way he is progressing.

"He's certainly not had any setbacks. We just have to make sure that he is ready to play."

And the Daily Telegraph reveals that the Tottenham talisman could be back in action before the trip down the High Road and Seven Sisters to face the Gunners.
