Gary Neville is hopeful he can still make a first-team return this season as he continues his comeback with a run-out for Manchester United reserves against Newcastle tonight.
The 33-year-old defender has not played a competitive game since suffering an ankle injury in March last year but said: "I've played three times for the reserves since the turn of the year and this is the longest run I've been on in terms of training and playing games.
"Hopefully I'll get a first-team game somewhere but that could prove difficult with the significance of the matches we have over the next few weeks."
Andersen jailed over Obi contract
Morgan Andersen, former director of Norwegian club Lyn, has been handed a one-year suspended jail sentence for forging contracts relating to Chelsea midfielder John Mikel Obi in 2005. Andersen said he will appeal.
