Theo not worried by lack of new offer

Theo Walcott has insisted he is not concerned Arsenal are yet to offer him a new contract - despite having just 18 months to run on his present deal at Emirates Stadium.

The 19-year-old could sign a pre-contract agreement with another club in just over a year's time.

When asked if an Arsenal deal was imminent, he said: "I am not into all that, I just want to concentrate on my football and hope it goes well.

"Everything else will come with that. The main thing is the football and winning trophies."

Walcott's stock has continued to rise after a stunning start to the season.

The Newbury-born winger made his first international start against Andorra earlier this month and marked his second in Croatia with a superb hat-trick. His form has been such that, according to manager Arsene Wenger, Walcott was targeted for special treatment in the Gunners 1-1 draw at Dynamo Kiev earlier this week.

Left-back Andriy Nesmachniy was visibly concerned by his opponent's electrifying pace and Walcott said: "Thats a nice feeling. When a defender is scared of you straight away it puts a smile on your face and you win the battle hopefully.

"You have got to get at them, I got kicked a few times on Wednesday but I have just got to get back up, get back at them."

The ease with which Walcott handles his new-found fame bodes well for the rest of his career.

He added: "(The hype) hasn't really touched me, I think it has touched my family more. We have a few paparazzi outside our house for a long time but I have just got away from it all. Thats what I do - concentrate on my football, that's all I can do."

Meanwhile, Arsenal will be without injured trio Samir Nasri (knee), Mikael Silvestre (muscular problem) and Abou Diaby (thigh) for tomorrow's trip to Bolton Wanderers.
