Thierry Henry may bid au revoir to Les Bleus after Euro finals

France striker Thierry Henry has revealed he may quit the international scene after this summer's European Championships.

Former Arsenal forward Henry will be 31 in August and is not completely sure he will be around for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, should Les Bleus qualify.

"I want to be involved in the World Cup in 2010 but sometimes desire makes you do things you must no longer do," he said in L'Equipe.

"The World Cup is a long way off. You have to be sure that if you start playing the qualifiers in September, I think you must want to see it through until the end.

"We will see. I am going to be 31. Two more years isn't easy. I am going to see first of all what happens in the Euros.

"I have thought about making my farewells after the Euros. I have thought hard about this subject - I am not going to say I haven't."

Henry has just finished a difficult first season at Barcelona where he has been deployed mostly on the left wing.

There has been speculation he may look to leave the Catalan side in the summer, but he has reaffirmed his commitment to the club.

"Am I going to stay at Barcelona next season? There are still three years left on my contract, therefore at this moment in time I am a Barca player," he added.
